Service Crewman
This role assists in the day-to-day maintenance and repair work for Eastside Utility District’s water infrastructure. Responsibilities include repairs to water mains, installation or relocation of water services, meter reading/troubleshooting, and maintenance of valves and equipment. This position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and strong mechanical aptitude.
Primary Responsibilities / Requirements
- Maintenance of water valves.
- Traffic control.
- Excavating infrastructure for repair/replacement.
- Heavy lifting and operating machinery.
- Installing and replacing water meters, taps, and service lines.
- Customer service and adaptability.
- Knowledge of safety precautions and construction work.
- Being on the on-call crew rotation.
Experience / Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous utility experience and a Class A CDL are preferred but not required. Candidates must pass a drug screening before hire and will be subject to random screenings thereafter.
