Time to Schedule Your Annual Backflow Test

Backflow prevention devices help protect the public water system by keeping contaminants, fertilizers, chemicals, and standing water from flowing backward into drinking water lines. Annual testing helps make sure these devices continue working properly and helps protect water quality across our community.
What You Need to Do
- Schedule your testing appointment early with a certified backflow tester
- Have the Backflow Assembly Test Report completed and returned to backflow@eastsideutility.com.
Attn. Testers: To help keep customers informed, we ask that you CC the customer when submitting completed test reports. - Don’t wait too long. Appointment availability may become limited closer to the deadline.
Not Sure if You Have a Sprinkler Meter?
A sprinkler meter is typically a second meter used for outdoor water use like irrigation or filling a pool. If you’re unsure whether your property has one, contact us at (423) 892-2890 .
Need to Install a Backflow Device?
- Hire a certified plumber
- Make sure all required permits and inspections are completed
- Ask your plumber to copy you on the email when the completed backflow test report is submitted
